

Ronnie Murrel Walker, age 53, resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 2, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Deena P. Walker, children Lori and Jake Walker, parents H. Murrel and Emmaline B. Walker, sister Lisa Carosiello Walker, niece Jessika Carosiello and nephews Austin Carosiello and Naiche Canico. He is also survived by his wife’s parents, Charles and Karey Hummel, sisters-in-law Virginia Parks, Cheryl Parker (Ernie), Kelly Foster, Kendra Parks Fernando (Edmundo) and brother-in-law Robert Parks. Ronnie has served his community for over 20 years with the Mobile Fire and Rescue serving as Captain of Station 12 at his death. He has also served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for over 31 years and was currently ranked as a Master Sergeant in Aviation. He was currently attached to the 403 AMXS at Keesler Air Force Base. MSGT Walker received numerous commendations for his service in Germany, Guam, Panama and Iwo Jima. He also worked for many years at Mobile Aerospace Engineering at Brookley Field in the field of aviation. He was active with the Wounded Warrior Program participating in many activities with the organization. He was a graduate of Satsuma High School and attended University of South Alabama. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fairhope, AL on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery at 3:00 p.m..
