A native of El Salvador, Central America and a long time resident of Mobile, AL entered into the presence of God on Sunday June 10, 2018 at the age of 100, at home surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luis Argueta and Maria Antonia Argueta; Her Husband Carlos A Barahona, Her daughters Ana Gladys, Maria Antonia, and Lorena Barahona Alvarenga.
She is survived by her children Gloria Barahona Schneider, Manuel Antonio Barahona, Carlos Roman Barahona (Margarita), Flor De Maria Barahona Flores, Connie Barahona Barragan (Oscar), Silvia Barahona Di Moro (Paolo), 13 Grand-children; Jimmy, Glenda, Juan Carlos, Luis, Francis, Gloria, Carlos Manuel, Pavel, Ashley, Kevin, Francesco, Alessandro, and Gianluca, and 8 Great-Grand-Children; Veena, Vijay, Victor, Danielle, Isabela, Xavier, Elena, and Francisco.
She was a member of the Hispanic Ministry, Saint Catherine Church. She was a charter member of the Mobile International Festival. She was known as “Mama Rosa” the flower lady. She made the crepe-paper flowers for the Festival. We are very grateful to: Dr. Anne Shavers, Dr. William Gewin, Dr. Russell Hudgens, Drs. Edward and Anne Barañano, Dr. Richard J. Visitation will be held Friday June 15, 2018 from 5PM-8PM Rosary at 7PM, in Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday June 16, 2018 at 1PM in Saint Catherine Catholic Church, 2605 Springhill Ave. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Carmelite Monastery, 716 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL 36606.
