

Roy “Curtis” Hulett, age 63, a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, lost his battle with cancer on Monday, March 21, 2016. He died peacefully in his home surrounded by family and friends. Curtis was born on November 14, 1952. He was a graduate of Theodore High School and served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked and retired from Alabama Power Company after 36 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had a strong passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football. There was nothing better to him than drinking a toddy, watching the Tide and running catfish lines on the Alabama River Delta. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Wardell Hulett and Mary Pauline Cooper Hulett. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Debra Jane, beautiful daughter, Sarah Hulett Wallace (Jeffrey), precious grandson and light of his life, Beau Allen Wallace, sister, Edith Culver (Steve), two brothers, Loyd Golden (Dottie), and Ronnie Golden (Judy), nieces, nephews, other relatives and lots of friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 5:00pm at Radney Funeral Home, located at 3155 Dauphin Street. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Good Friday, March 25, 2016 at 11:00am at Radney Funeral Home, located at 3155 Dauphin Street. The family welcomes friends to join them for a reception and a toast following the service, which will be held at the Mobile Area Association of Realtors, located at 2827 Airport Blvd. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Hope Cancer Retreat.
