Roy D. (R.D.) Spiller went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2015. He was born April 29, 1920 in Brilliant, AL. Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a Mason and a member of the Abba Shrine. He loved the Lord and was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church for 35 years. Mr. Spiller is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 66 years, Edith, his son, Jeff (Norma) Spiller; grandchildren, Melinda and Adam; great-grandsons, Joseph and Jaxen, a sister, Ernestine Woods, many nieces, nephews and other family members. A service of thanksgiving and celebration will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Christ UMC. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the worship service at 11 a.m. Burial is in Spanish Fort Veterans’ Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in Roy’s name to the Organ Fund c/o Christ UMC, 6101 Grelot Rd.
