Ruby Rush Robinson

Mrs. Ruby Rush Robinson-died peacefully at Somerby Assisted Living on Friday, November 23, 2012. She devoted her life to her family, as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her family was her life. She was a member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church, but regularly attended Christ United Methodist Church with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jobe Robinson, Jr. her parents, Jesse and Sally Mabel Rush, her brother, Charles Wesley Rush and her sister, Faye Rush Moor. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Robinson Pehler (John), granddaughter, Sarah Robinson Pehler; brother, Robert Alvin Rush (Mireen) of Gulfport, MS; sister, Emma Rush Blow of Mobile and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be some of her nephews, Charles Rush, Jr., Alvin Rush, Rick Rush, Don Rush, Buddy Moor, Brian Blow, Steve Carnathan, Jason Rush and Tyler Carnathan. The family wishes to thank the staff of Somerby Memory Care Assisted Living and Odyssey Hospice. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Christ United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at the church. Interment will be at Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Christ United Methodist Church or the Mobile Chapter of the SPCA.
