Rufus Earl “Chick” Roberts, Jr. – A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Thursday, 7, 2011 in a local hospital. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Roberts was Manager at the family business, Davis Motor Supply, Inc. for 60 years. He was a graduate of Murphy High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Earl Roberts, Sr. and Zetta Deakle Roberts; and brother, Jack Roberts. Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Jeanne Davis Roberts; two children, Terrell Earl (Becky) Roberts, Sr. and Brenda Jeanne (Kenneth) Parnell; sister, Althea Ory; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, April 9, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Graveside services and entombment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum in Pine Crest Cemetery.
