Sarah Louise Johnson Sumrall – an 85 year-old native of Birmingham, AL and resident of Chunchula passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012. She was an active member of Moffett Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Sumrall was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Samuel C. Sumrall, Sr.; sister, Ethel Allday; and brother, Walter E. Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Hampton (Charles), Marilyn Allen, and Norma Hallman; sisters, Margaret Peterman and Nancy Blow; brother, Tommy Johnson; grandchildren, Mark Hampton (Anna), Michael Hampton, Claude Allen, and Clinton Allen (Nikki); eight grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held from Moffett Road Baptist Church on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Dr. Terry Cutrer officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
