Seiji Murayama, 77, returned to his heavenly home on May 29, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Seiji was born in Itajubi, Sao Paulo Brazil on August 7, 1943 to his loving parents Akio and Tsuru Murayama.
Seiji married Fumiko Takaoka, on July 4th, 1976 and helped raise his 2 children with patience, discipline and humility. Seiji was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He moved to Japan in 1991 by himself to create a new life for his family. His family would follow him there in 1992. He was ambitious and determined working 2 jobs, to send his children to the United States so that they could get a College Education. After he retired in Japan, he moved back to Brazil with with Fumiko enjoying life back in his country of birth. However, his passion for family had a call he could not resist. Fumiko and he decided to move across continents once again to help their daughter Adriana with their growing family. Seiji made numerous friends who became family from Japan, Brazil, and the Gulf Coast. Seiji loved fishing, especially with his wife, and most weekends you could find both of them on a shore.
Seiji was proceeded by his parents Akio and Tsuru Murayama. He is survived by his wife, Fumiko Murayama; his children Marcelo Eiji Murayama (Claudia Murayama) and Adriana Mariko Murayama Collette (Joseph Matthew Collette); his grandchildren Miki Murayama, Alessandra Lina Collette, Maki Murayama, and Kilean Mateus Collette.
