

Sharon Cecilia Pierce of Tanner Williams passed from this life, after a short illness, to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on her 81st birthday, October 7, 2025. As the youngest of three children, she was born on October 7, 1944, to Patie (Cook) Pierce (later Harden) and Cecil Pierce.
She attended Tanner Williams Elementary School and later moved to Mobile with her family and attended school there.
At the age of 19, she went to work for Morrison’s Cafeteria and was a dedicated employee for over 50 years, finally retiring to care for her lifelong best friend, Stella Rosetta (“Jill”) Harden, who was in hospice at the time. She will be remembered as a woman of strong faith and a great prayer warrior who was fiercely loyal to her friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert Cecil Pierce, her sister, Cynthia Pierce, and her beloved stepfather, Cecil Harden. Ms. Pierce leaves no known living relatives but leaves many friends who will miss her dearly.
A service of remembrance will be held at Hill Spring Baptist Church, 335 Eliza Jordan Road North, Mobile, Alabama on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Clay Lewis will officiate. Becky Dees will present music in song and Terri Shaw will be the pianist.
Pallbearers are David Bedford, Jerry Dees, John Griffin, Gary Lee, Bob Waldron, and Bubba Baugh. Interment will be in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery.
