Stephen Christopher Barrett

He is survived by his two children, daughter Stefanie Barrett Lowe (Paul E. Lowe) and son Paul C. Barrett, six cherished grandchildren, Victoria Lowe, Jessica Lowe, William Lowe, Trent Lowe, Payton Barrett, and Sarah Lowe. He is also survived by his sister, Dianne Strachan, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lambert Joseph Barrett and Doris Bosarge Barrett, and his sister, Carol Durrett.

Stephen believed deeply in his Catholic faith. He was an altar server throughout primary school and high school. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic School, Little Flower Catholic School, McGill Institute, and the University of South Alabama.

Stephen absolutely loved Mardi Gras in Mobile! He was a member of two Mardi Gras organizations: the Conde Cavaliers and the Crewe of Columbus.

Also known as "Coach Steve" for nearly 20 years, he volunteered his time and exceptional talent of coaching baseball, softball, football, and soccer.

Stephen loved spending time with his family and watching college football - Roll Tide! His kindness, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home on December 30, 2025. Visitation will be from 12 noon - 1:00PM. Funeral service will be at 1:00PM with burial to follow at Pine Crest Cemetery.
