Steven Walker Pochard

Steven Walker Pochard, age 66, native of Beavercreek, OH and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015. Mr. Pochard is preceded by his parents, George Pochard and Lora Pauline Walker Lemmon. Mr. Pochard was Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at Spring Hill College until his retirement in 2009. His over forty years in college admissions was also spent at Findlay College Findlay, OH, Heidelberg College, Tiffin, OH and Christian Brothers College, Memphis, TN. He was a graduate of Findlay College. His favorite pastime was spent coaching his sons in baseball and watching his grandchildren play the sport. He was an avid University of Alabama football fan, golfer and fan of Braves baseball. Mr. Pochard is survived by his sons, Shane Walker Pochard (Renee), Michael Bradley Pochard (Brianne), and grandchildren, Matthew, Alissa, J. T. and Evan. He is also survived by his former wife, Linda Pochard and longtime companion, Alice Frey. Visitation and memorial service will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St., Mobile, AL on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Findlay Youth Baseball, P.
