Susie Elnora Davis Tait

She was a 1947 graduate of Murphy High School. Mrs. Tait worked for Southern Bell, Hammell's Department Store, and for the past 34 years, as an Administrative Assistant to many pastors and support staff at Dauphin Way Baptist Church. There, she displayed integrity, strength and endurance, and a great love for the Lord, His ministry and His people.

She is survived by two sons, John Thomas (Shannon) Tait and David Edwin (Judy) Tait; one daughter, Luana Kennedy Reinsch; her niece, Laurie Davis (Lenny) Wilson; ten grandchildren, Kimberly Kennedy, Laurie Kennedy (Tim) Howard, Jennifer Kennedy (Fred) Savell, Philip Tait, Matthew Tait, Rebecca Kennedy (Zack) Tanner, Adam Tait, Phoebe Tait, Mary Beth Tait, and Andrew Tait; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. in Pine Crest Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. from Dauphin Way Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 15, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street.
