Susie Rumbley Tow

Susie worked at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in X-ray, Nuclear Medicine and Mammography for 30+ years. She was a devoted member of Kingswood United Methodist Church for 13 years, often participating in committees and volunteering at the food pantry. Her greatest joys were spending time with family and friends, preparing home cooked meals, traveling and volunteering at her church. She is known for her famous blueberry cake as well as her many delicious casseroles.

Susie is survived by her best-friend and daughter Lynn Smith (Brian), daughter Melissa Martin (Patrick), son Ken Tow (Andrea), grandchildren Brittany Johnson, Michael Smith, Taylor Tow, Tyler Tow, Jonathan Tow, Jordan Tow, great grandchildren Jaelynn Smith, Aiden Smith, Ivey Johnson and Juliegh-Anne Nicholson, brothers Ralph Rumbley (Elizabeth),Thomas Rumbley (Betty), sister-in-law and “travel buddy” Jeanette Steele, brother-in-law, J.D. Tutwiler, niece & nephews, Pam Few (Roger), Chris Rumbley (Holly), Justin Rumbley, Lee Rumbley (Valerie), Ben Rumbley (Katie), Chris Steele (Karin) and Craig Steele, Denny Tutwiler and Julie Tutwiler, and close family friend Gilda Chavers.

Susie was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, John Tow, parents Alice Alama Rumbley and Ralph Lee Rumbley Sr., friend and sister-in-law Judy Tutwiler, dear father-in law Edwin Tow “grampy head” mother-in-law, Helen M. Seraphine Tow and Phyllis Kolb, loving friend of 30+ years.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Rumbley, Justin Rumbley, Michael Smith, Tyler Tow, Johnny Williams, Bubba Smith, Jonathan Tow and Jordan Tow. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Denny Tutwiler, Lee Rumbley and Ben Rumbley.
