T. Dwight Reid, 76, passed away on April 6, 2010. Born January 5, 1934 in Statesville, NC, he was raised in a Presbyterian orphanage and served honorably in the U.S. Navy. Dwight graduated from the University of Alabama, School of Law in 1961 and was a respected member of the Mobile Bar. He is survived by his wife, Darline Reid; Children Thomas Dwight Reid, Jr. (Damon), Sandra Ellen Richards (Charlie), and Michael Fayette Reid (Laura); Step-son Jason John Powers; grandchildren Chelsea Lenora Richards, Thomas Allen Reid, Caroline Grace Reid, and Jake Dalton Powers; a sister, brothers, many friends but especially Lenora Grace Reid. A memorial visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 9, 2010. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wilmer Hall Children’s Home in Mobile.
