Thelma Gray Pierce

Thelma Gray Pierce – died Saturday, April 28, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Franklin Gray. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Wright Pierce, and sister, Frances Tarleton Sprott, all of Mobile. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, Mrs. Pierce is survived by her daughters, Pamela Pierce Codina (Francisco), Terry “Cissie” Pierce, and son Lee Wright Pierce, III (Jada); grandchildren, Katherine Lee Codina of Mobile, Francisco Pierce Codina of Chicago, IL, Lee Gray Lane of Mobile, Lee Wright Pierce, IV and Virginia Caroline Pierce both of Daphne; great-grandson, Jacob Alexander Lane; brother-in-law, David N. Sprott of Mobile; nephew, Jeffery David Sprott (Barbara) of Houston, TX; and niece, Megan Sprott Davis (Brian) of Chester, VA. The family wishes to thank Patricia Duckworth, her daughters, and nieces for their loving care of Mrs. Pierce. Graveside services will be held in Mobile Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wilmer Hall Children’s Home, 3811 Old Shell Rd., Mobile, AL 36608.
