

Valarie "Val" Brantley("Nana"), age 68, of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025. Known for her deep love of cats and her unwavering commitment to service, Val proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 21 years. She achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer in under eight years—a remarkable accomplishment that reflected her dedication and leadership.
Following her retirement, Val enjoyed traveling with her mother and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, warm heart, and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
Valarie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Walden, and her father, Donald George. She is survived by her loving mother, Joyce Reeves; her sisters, Dorothy Loges (Jeff), Laura Sprinkle, Barbara Reeves; and her brothers, Donald Reeves and Thomas Reeves (Stacie). She is also survived by her two devoted sons, Jason Brantley and Jonathan Royster (Marianne), as well as her beloved grandchildren: Madilynn, Jaylee, Mayah, Molly, Jonathan, Landon, and Melayna.
Val will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
A visitation for Valarie will be held on April 29, 2025 at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama 36606, starting 10am thru 12pm. Funeral Service will take place afterwards at 12pm. The Interment will be held at 2pm at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
