He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served aboard the U.S.S. Boxer (CV21) during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank P. Forwood, and Pauline McMillan Forwood; two brothers Frank P. Jr. and George M.; nephews Mike and Brian Forwood and other relatives.
Walter is survived by his wife, Mary Joyce Harris Forwood and his daughter, Claudia June Ketchum (Leonard) of Westcliffe, CO., brother, Fred “Ted” Nelson Forwood (Brenda) of Mobile AL., nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:30P.M - 2:30P.M. on Monday, May 09, 2016 followed by a graveside service at 2:30 P.M.
Interment at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL.
