William Edward Franks, 78, of Mobile, passed away, Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Providence Hospital. There will be a graveside service, Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Goodsprings Church of Christ Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
Mr. Franks was born, December 10, 1946, in Jasper. He graduated from Walker High School in 1965, Walker College in 1967, and Samford University School of Pharmacy in 1970. He worked as a pharmacist in various retail pharmacies, particularly Walmart, over the course of a forty-year career. He was a faithful member of the Creekwood Church of Christ in Mobile.
Mr. Franks was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotta Kaye Franks; parents, Edward Robert Franks and Margie Cleo Brock Franks.
Mr. Franks is survived by his wife, Martha Sanford Franks; children, Charles William Franks (Lori) of Middlebourne, WV; grandchildren, Kellen Charles Franks and Aislinn Ruth Franks; sister, Mary Janice Franks of Montgomery, brother-in-law, Nesbitt Sanford (Deborah) of Athens.
The family request that donations be made to Agape of Huntsville, AL or Childhaven Orphanage, Cullman, AL.
Arrangements are being handled by Kilgore Green Funeral Home in Jasper, AL.
