Mr. William Joseph Hanlon, III – a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Hanlon was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Jubilee Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Ryan-Walsh Stevedore, Company after forty years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Hanlon was preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph Hanlon, II and Willie Lee McDonald Hanlon and one sister, Patricia Van Vooren. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Delores Hanlon; three children, Teresa Hanlon (Lee) Saad, James Edward Hanlon, and Robert Hogan Hanlon; one sister, Jackie Hanlon (Billy) McAleer; and three grandchildren, Mary Anna Saad, Courtney Saad (Jack) Adams, and Heather Hanlon Saad. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 from St. Dominic Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. on Saturday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
