Willie Woodrow Dowling

Willie Woodrow Dowling, born June 1935 passed from death into eternal life with his Lord and Savior December 1, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow Wilson Dowling and Willie Delora Dowling. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 58 years, Sandra W. Dowling, his devoted daughter, Dione Dowling Heusel and son-in-law Neil Heusel. He is also survived by the pride and joy in his life, his granddaughters Meggan Elizabeth McGrew and Jamie Michelle McGrew and great grandson James Noah McGrew. Although an only child, he gained a family through marriage and is survived by his sister-in-law, Beverly Willis Nall, brother-in-law Robert Nall, brother-in-law Carl “Bud” Willis and brother-in-law Holmes Willis and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Willie accomplished many worldly successes but considered his greatest blessings to be his family and friends. His daily walk of faith has been a testimony to all who know him and a comfort to his family in his passing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Visitation is scheduled at 10:00 am followed by a service at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL.
