Willie J Watson

Willie J. Watson-Born May 6, 1928 born in Evergreen, AL and a resident of Mobile for the past 41, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. Watson and Katie Lou Grace Watson Phillips, and by his sister, Mary Watson Lovett. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen Cooley Watson, and their three sons, Robert Daniel Watson of Alameda, CA, David Steven Watson of Coco Beach, FL and Alan (Sharon) Watson of Mobile; grandchildren, Tommy, Amanda Leigh, Caitlyn, Kristen, Heather, Wesley, Krysta, Michael and Jamaar; one brother, Joel Watson of Birmingham, AL; three sisters, Daisy Thomason and her husband Wiley of Mobile; Gail Donahoo and her husband George of Bessemer, AL; Sara Parker and her husband Ronald of Jemison, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mr. Watson was a member of Moffett Road Baptist Church for 41 years. He was also a Past Master of Toulmin Lodge #875 F & AM and a member of the Mobile Scottish Rite Bodies. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 2 PM. Visitation will start at 12 noon. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or to the Library Fund of Moffett Road Baptist Church, 5555 Moffett Rd., Mobile, AL 36618
