

Trumbull- Alfred S. Teller died peacefully at home after a brief acute illness at the age of 95 on February 12, 2011. Al was born and lived his entire life on Teller Road in Trumbull. His wife, Marjorie (Burroughs) Teller of over 65 years predeceased him in 2006. His parents were the late Miron and Edith Mae (Slauson) Teller. He was also predeceased by his close step-sister Ethel Walker of Stratford and other brothers and sisters. He retired from SNET of Bridgeport as a Right of Way Agent after 40 years of service. Al and Marjorie owned and operated the Burrough’s Cider Mill on Main Street in Trumbull until its closure. He was a former Justice of the Peace of Trumbull and up to the time of his death was the President of the Long Hill Burial Ground Association. He was also a member of the Tashua Seniors Group, the Greater Bridgeport Men’s Garden Club and was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #19 of Monroe. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing, framing Marjorie’s art work and traveling in “mini” and to the “pad” in Florida. Al is survived by his daughters Bonnell Bragg, RNC and her husband Larry of Bradley, ME and Patricia Buske-Zainal, EdD and her husband, Ismet Zainal of Bumpass, VA and as well as 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren as well as great, great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 17 at 10am at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe with a burial following the service at Long Hill Burial Grounds. Friends and Family may greet Al’s family on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 3PM-7PM at the funeral home.
