Tony was born on November 15, 1954, to the late Emidio Albuquerque and Laura (Pinto) Albuquerque in Esmolfe, Penalva do Castelo, Portugal,
Above all Tony was a proud husband, father, and grandfather and was cherished as a loving brother and Uncle.
Tony had a deep love of sports, from playing soccer himself to watching the game on television with family and friends; matches between Benfica and Sporting can still be heard from neighbors' houses. Tony was a Sportinguista through and through. Traveling with his children are memories that will be held onto forever. Tony was a talented artist, which went far beyond what can be seen in a drawing or painting. All who knew Tony knew his craft was carpentry, which led to one of his proudest accomplishments in owning his own business AMA Home Improvements. Carpentry brought him so much joy, especially when the opportunity led him to work with family and friends. Affectionately known as the "Magic Man" Tony had the ability to take one's thoughts and ideas and completely bring them to life in his work. Tony's talents in carpentry have truly created memories and heirlooms for his family and friends to cherish forever.
Tony shared the past 50 years with his loving wife Louisa (Pires) Albuquerque. Tony and Louisa built a beautiful life together with their children, Nancy Silva and her husband Peter of Ansonia, Amy Russolillo and her husband Mark of Watertown, and Antonio Albuquerque and his wife Diana of Beacon Falls. In addition to his loving wife and children, Tony leaves behind his most cherished grandchildren, Anthony, and Tiana Albuquerque, Jaden and Trey Silva, and Olivia and Luke Albuquerque.
Tony is survived by his brothers and sisters, Otilia Ventura (Leonel), Parrish, FL, Leonor Santos (Carlos) of Monroe, CT, Esperanca Alves of Monroe, CT, Alexandre Albuquerque (Celeste) Monroe, CT, Paulo Albuquerque of Milford, CT. Tony also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who he loved deeply.
