Born in Bridgeport Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late John and Wilma Gantek. She attended Stratford High School and graduated in 1956. Audrey lived in Arizona while married to her first husband Charles Karwin who was an Air Force Airman. She then spent many years in Stratford and Shelton with family before moving to Waterbury with her late husband Tom Fernandes. Audrey enjoyed her retirement years taking walks at the beach and park, watching her favorite shows, and spending time with family.
She is survived by her sister Claudette Kiely, brother Teofil Gantek, son Edward Karwin, daughter-in-law Patricia Karwin and extended family and grandchildren in Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Colorado.
