He is predeceased by his loving wife, of 60 years, Louise Conte and is survived by his son Stephen Conte and his wife Gretchen as well as his son Henry Conte and his wife Marcie. Carlo was an amazing grandfather to his five grandchildren Erika, Patrick, Anthony, Nicholas and Ryan Conte. Carlo is also survived by his loving niece Francis Potocky and her husband Clifford Potocky and many loving great nieces and nephews.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, Carlo was an avid golfer playing at Fairchild Wheeler Golf course until he turned 101. The family greatly thanks the entire Fairchild Wheeler staff and golfing community for all they did for Carlo over the last 70 years.
Calling hours will take place, Wednesday, April 26 from 4-8pm at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 27 at 10am at the Parish of Saint Catherine of Siena, 220 Shelton Road, Trumbull. Burial to immediately follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Road, Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Connecticut Hospice, Branford, CT.
