

Carmella “Millie” LaPiccirella Cuccaro, age 101 of Trumbull, formerly of Monroe, passed away peacefully at Maefair Health Care Center on April 6, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, a son Ben Conte, and daughter Jo-Marie Mlinarchik.
She is survived by a daughter Camille “Kim” Frate and her husband Miles of Beacon Falls, five granddaughters Kellyann Barberio of Oxford, Dawn Stewart of Tecumseh, Michigan, Marsha Piper of Trumbull, Anne Weller of Naugatuck, and Barbara Tartagni of Guilford, and two grandsons Joseph Mlinarchik, Jr. of Wallingford and George Conte of Derby and their families. In her younger days, Millie was known for her excellent cooking and baking skills and enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. She also enjoyed playing bingo weekly and occasional trips to the casino with family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday April 9th at 11:00 AM at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church 707 Monroe Turnpike Monroe. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Daniels Farm Road Trumbull. Friends may visit Wednesday, prior to the Funeral Mass, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home 315 Monroe Turnpike Monroe. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the 2nd floor staff at Maefair Health Care Center for the compassionate care shown to our loved one.
