AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Carol Carrano

15 avril 195213 juillet 2020

Born in Brooklyn, NY, on April 15, 1952, she was the daughter of George and Ann Costa. From a young age, she aspired to be a fashion designer and attended The High School of Fashion Industries in Brooklyn, NY. Carol married at age 23 and quickly immersed herself into motherhood. With a love for children, she spent the majority of her adulthood in childcare and sold Avon for over 30 years.

She was creative and loved arts and crafts. She used her sewing machine to make halloween costumes for her children when they were young and always incorporated the specialness of things that were homemade throughout her life. She had a strong love for nature. She especially loved gardening, flowers, the beach and sea shells, hummingbirds and butterflies. She was a self proclaimed #1 Elvis fan, dreamed of visiting Graceland someday, loved to collect things such as wind chimes, Precious Moments statues, and antiques. She loved to cook family meals and bake for the holidays. Everyone loved her pumpkin pies and would say they were award worthy. Being with her family was her favorite place to be.

She will be remembered for her spunk and fiery personality that matched her red hair. She was sentimental, loved love and would get lost in a good love story. Her care for others was undeniable. She taught her family that love is in the details. She was married to her best friend for 45 years. She was the mother of three children and a grandmother of two boys. Her grandchildren were her joy.

She is survived by her son, Charles A. Carrano, daughter, Carissa Carrano Graham and son-in-law, Christopher Graham, daughter, Crystal Carrano and boyfriend Gus Meira, Grandsons, Christopher Charles Graham and Caden Frederick Graham, mother, Ann Costa, and sister, Linda Mazzarella. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Carrano, father, George Costa, and brother, George Costa.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Sunday, August 2, 2020 from 1:00-5:00pm, at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468.

Carol was a beautiful person. She loved my girls like her own and spoiled them rotten. We couldn't have been more blessed to have known her and have gotten to have that time with her. She will always be loved and remembered fondly. Sending our deepest condolences to the entire Carrano family.
