

Christopher (Torres) Gonzales of Bridgeport, CT passed away unexpectedly in his home on December 23, 2013. Christopher Gonzales was born at Fort Carson, Colorado on April 8th, 1965. The family moved to Connecticut in 1972. He is survived by his mother Erika Vogel and his step-father Angelo Torres, Jr., his sister Alexandra DaSilva, his step-brother Aaron Torres, his step-sister Gloria Torres, his nephew Dominic DaSilva, his niece Samantha DaSilva, his aunts Doris Braehler and Elsa Perez, his grandfather Angel Torres, his cousins Daniel Perez (Rachel), Victor Perez (Shannon), Dieter Braehler, Thomas Braehler (Marion), and Anke Braehler (Dirk Heil). He was predeceased by his sister Karen Torres, his brother-in-law Domingos DaSilva, Jr., his grandmother Maria Isabel Torres, and his uncle Richard Braehler.
Christopher was a graduate of Fannie Smith School of Bridgeport and attended Housatonic and Norwalk Community Colleges. He was employed as a toolmaker by Connecticut Saw and Tool LLC in Stratford, CT. Christopher was a gentle, good-hearted and kind person, helping many people who needed his assistance. He loved riding his Mountain Bike around Seaside Park and St Mary's by the Sea, music but most of all, his family and particularly, his niece and nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 30th at 10:00 am at the St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. Burial will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery Mountain Road Seymour, CT. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, December 29th, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Spadaccino and Leo P.
