Elaine was a gentle and kind soul. She enjoyed the simpler things in life….a good book, a jigsaw puzzle, poker with family every weekend or just sitting in her rocker on the front porch with her husband Socrates on a warm summer night. She loved interacting with her students at BenHaven, especially Brendan. She loved spending time with her entire family, especially her daughter, her son, and her 4 grandchildren. Elaine also enjoyed hosting numerous family parties. Above all what she missed most in life was speaking to her beloved mother, Ida (Muma), on a daily basis.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Socrates Necklas of East Haven. Her children, Keith Crumb of East Hampton and Erica (Scott) Meyer of Woodbury. Sisters Carol (Glen) Prentice, Joanne (Gene) Pendakiwskyj and brother Joe (Kym) Venezia. Mother-in-law Georgia Necklas, brother-in-law Michael (Antoinette) Necklas, sister-in-law Barbara Necklas. Four Grandchildren that were the love of her life, Madeline and Tyler Crumb and Scott and Ethan Meyer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews also by a very special friend Mary Psybyski.
