Born January 15, 1963 in Aveiro, Portugal, she is the daughter of the late Manuel De Oliveira Branco and Irene Rodrigues Branco.
Fatima was lifelong sweethearts with her husband, Manuel Silva, since the age of thirteen. Together they led a beautiful, fruitful life with their children Jose-Manuel Silva and Madalena Silva. Fatima was the proud owner and Broker of Silva’s Insurance and Silva’s Realty in Bridgeport, CT, licensed in CT, NY, and FL. She was a strong, resilient and highly respected business woman and successful entrepreneur. Well known for her many accomplishments, she made dreams a reality. There wasn’t anything she put her mind to that she couldn’t do. With Fatima, all things were possible. Despite the challenges, she always made life look easy. She always believed every little thing would be alright.
Fatima was passionate about life and loved helping others. She was an amazing friend, one you could always count on, be it for a good laugh, comfort, guidance, or lending a hand. Cut from a different cloth with her own love language, she was an old soul with a big heart, beyond generous and kind. She felt animals were God’s gift to humans. She loved the sunshine, the sand on her feet, long walks on the beach, and being free. She was genuine and true to herself, making the most of each day. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family near and far making memories, sharing stories, and embracing each moment with laughter. She gave her all in everything she did and always with a purpose and a plan. Her plans were endless.
She lived life her own way as it should be and fought for what she believed in. She was genuine. Radiantly remembered, she was larger than life and truly one of a kind. She was protective of those she loved and would never let anyone take advantage. Her infectious personality, beautiful smile, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who loved her, especially her beloved husband, children, and adored miniature pinscher, Buddy, known as her “Pin pon”. Life will never be the same without her. To know her is to love her. A Portuguesa mais linda do mundo.
Please join the family to honor her memory for she will always be their love and their light and live on forever in all of those who loved her until we meet again. May she rest peacefully and fly high. Calling hours will be on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home in Monroe, CT from 2-6pm.
