

at Bridgeport Hospital. Jim was born in Stamford on February 8, 1929, son of the late Vincenzo and Rose Fino. He was a lifelong resident of Stamford before moving to Norwalk.He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a Sales Associate for many years in fine men’s clothing stores at Natelsons of Stamford and most recently at Darien Sport Shop. Jim was an avid New York Giants fan who loved watching football games with his grandchildren. For many years, Pop was the “Horseshoe Champion” with his partner Grandpa D at our annual Fourth of July picnics. Survivors include his beloved wife Tatyana; three children, Jim and his wife Millie, Robert and his wife Kim, Debbie Tassitano and her husband Joe; two stepdaughters Ganna and Tatiana and her husband Gary; nine grandchildren, Jim, Mike, Rob, Tom, Joey, Lisa, Tina, Max and Irina; one great-grandchild Justin. He was pre-deceased by his grandson Howie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, River Road Shelton, CT. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Howie Tassitano Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Shelton High School, 120 Meadow Street, Shelton, CT, 06484 in memory of Jim.
