I was lucky enough to work with Joel at Navint for nearly 5 years, including a stint where many of us shared a corporate apartment in Washington, DC.

I will always cherish the memories I made working and rooming with Joel in this early part of my career. He was kind, intelligent, funny, and an excellent cook. Above all else, he was a true family man. I knew just from the way he spoke about them that he was a loving, dedicated father and husband. 

Joel is dearly missed, and I send my love and condolences to Elaine and the rest of the Farr family.

My train buddies brought me great joy every morning during my commute to NYC, always saving me a seat. Our card games (and yes – he did beat Jay a few times),  and our yearly Christmas parties bring a smile to my face. So happy we kept up the tradition – even after our daily commuting days ended. Over the years we shared a lot, our girls getting into college, first jobs, and then weddings.   But when those grandkids started coming – he could not resist bragging.  What a proud father and grandfather is was! And Elaine, his rock, always acknowledging their partnership in creating a beautiful family!

Dear Farr family and friends, my sincerest condolences on your loss. Our team worked with Joel during a strenuous project spanning well over a years' time and his patience, grace, and helpfulness was appreciated day in and day out. You could always count on him to provide clarity and relieve stress whenever needed. My thoughts are with you during these difficult times.

Joel was a wonderful resource to our entire billing team at Cars Commerce and his expertise was greatly appreciated. I will always appreciate his hard work, dedication and assistance.  I am forever grateful for the opportunity to work with him and learn from him.

Joel was such a kind and wonderful colleague to work with. In my limited time working with him, I immediately noticed his professionalism, intellect, and kindness for those around him. He will always be remembered by me for his patience and willingness to help those he worked with. And I know most importantly his legacy will be the love and memories he gave his family and friends. Rest in peace Joel, you are dearly missed by so many.

I was so sorry to hear of Joel's passing. As many have said he had a great ability to take stressful situations and handle them with a calm, knowledge demeanor. The Cars team thinks very highly of him as we all worked together so closely for so long. Because of the duration of our time working together, we had the opportunity to know each other as more than just a client/consultant relationship. 

Obviously, there was much more to Joel than we got to know, but what is clear is that he was kind, intelligent, reliable, and funny. Most importantly, he was so proud of his family and spoke highly of them always. He'll be missed by everyone who knew him.

Dear Farr Family-  Please accept my most sincere condolences.  I am Joels' coworker from Cars.com . We worked together day in and day out for almost 2 years.   Joel was kind, patient, intelligent and always had a sense of calm.  We worked on such a difficult project together, but Joel kept us grounded and always came up with a "can do/ we will figure it out as a TEAM" attitude.  

He talked so fondly of his daughters and grandkids.  His presence is strongly missed. May he rest in peace.

I was lucky enough to have worked with Joel at his time in Navint while he supported our Workday Financials implementation in Indeed. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. The world has lost a very smart, curious, intelligent, humble, helpful and kind man. Joel was extremely well liked and respected during his time at Indeed and I know he leaves behind a great legacy that his family and friends can be  proud of. Hello Farr family, 

I wanted to share my condolences with you. I worked with Joel before and wanted to write something because he meant a lot to me. 

I joined Navint a year and a half ago after graduating college. The first project I joined was a project with Joel Farr as my manager. He was brilliant,  a great leader, and an even greater human being. Our work can be stressful and he would take on clients that weren't always the most pleasant to be around. I was junior when I joined so he added me to meeting to take notes. I learned a lot from him and he set a great example. It would just be myself, him, and 20+ people on the client side. He had a great gift to take in the chaos, stress, and emotions from the client and make the work environment for our team relaxed. He was so welcoming to me. We'd talk sports at the start of our team calls or just chop it up on how life was going. He loved his kids and grandkids. 

My love and prayers go out to everyone who knew him, especially his family. I know, just from my short time with him, how much his family meant to him.

Joel was an awesome co-worker and managed all of us with grace and understanding. We will miss Joel and have missed him since the day he was not on our project. Thanks Joel for being simple yourself.

Joel was such a fun loving, friendly and spirited person who will be dearly missed. I worked closely with him and always enjoyed laughing and joking with him while we were in the weeds trying to figure things out. My deepest condolences to his family and all those who loved him.

I had the pleasure of working with Joel on a challenging project. I was impressed by his intelligence, his patience, and his work ethic. He made such a positive impact on our project and I am grateful to have had the chance to work with him.  I'm so sorry that this disease cut short his vibrant life. My love and condolences to his friends and family.
