Lucia Caruso

Lucia Caruso, 85, of Monroe, CT, beloved wife of the late Emanuele Caruso has gone to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Born in Vittoria, Sicily she came to the United States in 1959. She was a loving woman and dedicated mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three children: John Caruso and his wife Donna, Nancy Contacessi, and Antoinette Blaskewicz and her husband Richard. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Joel and Aaron Caruso, Lucille Contacessi, Christina Lent and her husband Jesse, Jacob, Nicole, Luke, Zachary and Nathan Blaskewicz.

Lucia enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, sewing and dancing. She loved life and had the biggest heart. She was a selfless woman who took joy in seeing the happiness of her beloved family. In lieu of calling hours, the family requests visitors to come to the memorial service. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 498 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery on Moose Hill Rd. in Monroe, CT. Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
