Luis Vicente Posada Sr.

Born in Infiesto, Spain he grew up in Havana, Cuba. He was a graduate of Masonic University in Havana.

He lived most of his adult life as a resident of Monroe, CT

Luis worked a Manager of Refinery and Smelter Administration for Handy and Harman in Fairfield CT, until retirement.

Luis believed in giving back to the community, he served as Treasurer for the Town of Monroe Housing Authority. he was a volunteer and member of Friends of the Library and the Monroe Senior Center.

He is survived by his wife and love of his life of 53 years, Ines, of Monroe, CT. He is also survived by his children, Trudy and husband James Dodge of Monroe, CT, Miryam and husband Kevin Kuligowski of Sandy Hook, CT, and Luis and wife Marigan Posada of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, James and Christopher Dodge, Ashley, Abigail and Karlie Kuligowski, Paz Posada O'Malley and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Luis and Maximina Posada and Jose and Carmen Puerta as well as his sister Maria del Carmen Suarez.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, December 28 from 3-7pm at Spadaccino and Leo Gallagher 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude Parish in Monroe on December 29 at 11:00am.

In Lieu of flower the family requests donations be made to St Jude’s Children's Hospital.
