Marie G. Bowen, 83, of Monroe, Connecticut passed away on March 11, 2014 at home. Beloved wife of 60 years of Allan F. (“Gerry”) Bowen, mother of Valerie, Steven (Maria), and Jennifer Bowen, and grandmother of Diana Bowen, Sabina Broberg, Brienne Bowen, Nola Broberg, and Brandon Bowen. Marie was born and raised in New York City and previously lived in Takoma Park, Maryland, and Cinnaminson, New Jersey. She attended Hunter High School and College in New York City and worked for Blue Cross in NewYork and also in Washington DC. Marie was known for her devout faith, cheerful demeanor, and elegant mode of dress. Calling hours will be on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Tpk, Monroe CT 06468, with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:30 AM at St Jude Roman Catholic Church, 707 Monroe Tpk, Monroe CT 06468.
