

She was born October 8, 1931 in Stamford, CT, the daughter of the late Margaret Teresa (Cunningham) Cullinan of Cork, Ireland and the late Michael Thomas Cullinan of County Clare, Ireland. She retired as an Administrative Specialist from Pitney Bowes in Stamford after 34 years of service.
Mary was devoted to her parents, husband, family and the Catholic Church. As a young women in the workplace, Mary helped care for her parents and tried to keep her younger brother’s out of mischief.
When Mary entered heaven, she was reunited with her loving husband, James Ball (1939-2013). Mary and the love of her life “Jim” made their home in Florida. Their adventures took them to Europe, England and Ireland. They traveled around the United States, including cruises to Alaska and Hawaii.
Mary enriched the lives of her many nephews and nieces. She took them on train rides to visit NYC. A wonderful Aunt who took her young nephew to the memorable Worlds Fair. She invited her nieces to vacation in her Florida home and travel to Ireland. Mary’s goal in life was to make others feel welcome. She genuinely found a way to compliment people that she met. She drew people in to share in a smile and laugh with her with her silly jokes and dance moves. She also had a fun fighting spirit, inviting you to “put up your dukes” with her. Mary had a great love of dogs. She frequently referenced her childhood Collie.
Mary is survived by her Brother-in-Law, Jack; her step sons, James, Paul (Carol Ann) and John (Roe); she is survived by her nieces and nephews, Michael (Cathy), John (Linda), Margaret, Linda, Cathy (Kerry), Joseph, Patrick (Diane), Maria (Bob), Michael (Mary), and Nicola (Valarie)
Mary is predeceased by her Brothers and Sister-in-Laws; Joseph (Teresa) and Michael (Catherine).
A Celebratory Mass will be held in the near future to honor Mary's life.
