

Natalino Lisi, age 87, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on December 11, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Natalino Lisi was born on January 31, 1923 to the late Luigi and Filomena Mollica Lisi in Strangolagalli, Frosinone, Italy. He and his wife and 2 children arrived in New York from Italy, on May 10, 1963. He worked as a construction worker with the Laborer’s Union for many years. He was a family man that enjoyed gardening, wine making, fishing, beach outings, family gatherings, celebrations, cigars, and appearing in television commercials in Mississippi. He was married for 60 years to his beloved wife, Luisa Viselli Lisi. Natalino was a passionate man. He loved life. He loved his family and insisted on “respect” from the younger family members to their elders. Natalino was the family historian, with a great memory for dates. He was a dramatic, passionate story teller, often repeating his favorite tales from Italy over and over. Natalino was outgoing and friendly. Natalino loved to play Scopa, an Italian card game. He loved his garden, especially his fig tree that he buried every winter. He loved making wine and drinking it to celebrate the many Italian holidays. Natalino was a gentle, God-loving man often heard to say, “I love Jesus”. He put up a valiant fight the last six months. He was a picture of courage and grace, never complaining and always appreciative. He will be dearly missed by his family. Natalino is survived by his beloved wife, Luisa, his cherished children son Augusto Lisi and his wife Debra Lisi, daughter Michelina Lisi Hamilton and her husband Clay Hamilton and son Mario and his wife Lori Lisi, grandchildren Nicole Jenkins, Micky Lisi , Nicholas Lisi ,Alex Lisi, Joshua Lisi, Maria Lisi and great grandchild Gabereal. Natalino was preceded in death by his siblings brothers Nicola, and Biagio, and sister Iolanda. Friends and Family may greet Natanlino’s family on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 4 pm- 8 pm at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 10:30 am in St. Raphael’s Church, Bridgeport and immediately following interment will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Stratford.
