Raye Volpe

Raye (Raffaela) Volpe, age 85, of Monroe, for 67 years the beloved wife of Frank Volpe, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at home. She was born in Bridgeport, CT on March 24, 1928, the daughter of the late Angelo and Margaret D’Agostino. She was a resident of Monroe for 18 years. Raye took great pride in her family. Her loving family includes her three daughters, Lynda Plourde and her husband Roger of Woodbury, Frances Ciuffreda and her husband Angelo of S.C. and Susan Domogala and her husband Robert of Trumbull, six grandchildren, Michael Ciuffreda and his wife Tracey of S.C, Robert Domogala of Milford, Alex Pittu of Bridgeport, Debra Bennett and her husband Jeff of Southington, Jennifer Pittu of Milford and Joseph Domogala and his wife Melissa of West Haven; two great grandchildren Patrick and Emily Bennett; sister Paula Zarrillo, brother Joseph D’Agostino.

Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Raye’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105. Arrangements have been entrusted to Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Tpk (Rte 111), Monroe CT.
