

Sabina Marchellos, 94, passed away on August 19, 2015 while at Lord Chamberlain in Stratford, CT. She was born November 12, 1920, the daughter of the late Frank & Donata Marano. She was raised in New York along with siblings Nick and Connie. She became a licensed beautician and worked at prestigious New York City salons. Sabina met and married Gus Marchellos (deceased), the dance partner of her life, and later moved to Bridgeport, CT where she raised her family.
Sabina was involved with her young children’s activities and was a member of St. Anne’s Mothers Club and Black Rock Little League Canteen Volunteers. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, bowling, and bingo. She and her husband traveled and danced their way aboard more than 25 cruises.
Sabina loved being surrounded by her family and friends, famously being remembered for her eggplant parmesan and meatballs. She is survived by her three children, Gary Marchellos (Lyn), Norine Marchellos and Janice Snyder (Dave). She was blessed with five grandchildren, Stacey, Brian, Nicole, Michael and Kimberly, as well as four great grandchildren, Jack, Logan, Charlotte and Georgia. In addition, Sabina is survived by several nieces and nephews. She loved and cherished them all and treasured in every moment she had to watch them grow.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday August 24, 2015 at 11am at St. Lawrence Church, Shelton, followed by internment at Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
