Mother to 7 children, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She met her late husband in 1967 before he left for Vietnam in 1968 and reunited with him in 1969 when he returned from Vietnam. Both had 2 children from previous marriages and together had 2 children. They married in 1978. They unofficially adopted a 7th child in 1986 and always ran an open door policy to help anyone they could. They were together until his passing in 2015.
During the late 1980s into the 1990s she was involved in the VFW with her husband and worked in Sultan, Wa and became Mom and Grandma to most everyone she met. Well after closing the family business, many always asked how "Mom" or "Grandma" was.
Doris had a kind heart and would tell anyone that would listen how her kids and grandkids were doing and how many times she was a grandma. Her family was her most cherished gift and she will be deeply missed. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to the 2nd Judicial District CASA Program, https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/in-memory-of-doris-fox
