August 10, 2018 – July 20, 2022
Jack Timothy Corr, age 3, returned to Heaven on July 20, 2022 after a 5 month battle with cancer.
Jack was born August 10th, 2018 in Everett, Washington to Tim and Jessica (Andelin) Corr. His big sister Ella was his best buddy and they were joined by baby sister Jovie just a few months before his passing. Jack did everything with Ella and often was her partner in crime in making very creative messes. During his battle with cancer, Jack was doted on by Ella and he looked forward to every opportunity to spend time with her. Jack loved snuggling his newborn baby sister and watching her grow. Jovie was his little ray of sunshine during his stay in the hospital.
Jack was a gentle soul. He was always kind and never wanted to hurt anyone. He had an insatiable love for books since he was a toddler and never could have enough stories. His favorite thing in the world, other than his mom, was playing with vehicles. He loved cars, trucks, trains, and diggers but had an especially deep love for garbage trucks. His favorite person to play with was his dad, who, when Jack was sick, spent hours creating homemade interactive games to bring to the hospital for them to play together after work. His dad’s games and time with his dad were the bright spot that helped him get through each day of treatment. Jack’s greatest comfort was his mommy, who was his constant caregiver through many difficult circumstances. He always wanted to be in her presence as she always knew what he needed. As he was always known as his mommy’s angel in life, we are confident that he is now his mommy’s angel.
Jack showed great determination in facing the cancer treatments and therapies each day. He was an inspiration to many people, both those who knew him personally and those who did not. We will miss Jack every day, especially hearing his sweet little voice, but take comfort in knowing that he is in the arms of his Father in Heaven and that we will see him again.
Jack is survived by his parents and sisters as well as his great grandparents Jack and Tootie Andrews, Jennis Andelin, and Norma Pieper; grandparents, Paula Andrews and Jeff Meyers, Gary and Jeanie (Pieper) Andelin, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who all adored little “Jack Jack”.
We want to thank the hospital staff of Seattle Children’s Hospital who have lovingly and competently cared for Jack these last few months. We are so grateful for their efforts and their skills in treating his cancer. We also wanted to thank all of those who have reached out to us to help—-family, friends, and strangers—-who have donated towards the costs of Jack’s care and have showered our family with meals, thoughtful gifts, childcare, and emotional support. Your prayers and love have carried us through this increadibly difficult time.
Jack’s memorial Service will be held July 27th at 11:00 AM at 17332 Tester Rd in Monroe Washington. The service will also be live-streamed
