James H. Ballard, born May 1, 1937 in Exeter, CA, went home to be with his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on November 17, 2013 in Everett, WA. He enjoyed his time working for Sun Lakes State Park and the Snohomish Parks Dept. Jim always looked forward to meeting with his friends for coffee and good conversation. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Valerie, son James Lawrence Ballard, daughter Sondra Kaye Parker and her husband Mitch, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim and Valerie were long standing members of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Snohomish. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 23rd at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2727 Lake Ave., Snohomish, WA 98290. A Committal Service will follow at the Sultan Cemetery on Cascade Drive in Sultan, WA. Memorials in his name may be made to Friends of Blackman Lake; PO Box 12115 Snohomish, WA. 98290
