Janine Lou Erickson passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 after post-surgical complications. Janine was born March 4, 1963 to Carol and Kenneth Klein in Portland, Oregon. She was a mechanical engineer in the aerospace industry for over 20 years and worked on many projects, including the C-17, which still flies for the Air Force today. She was very involved in her local and church community of St. Mary of the Valley in Monroe, Washington. As Janine neared and entered retirement, she also worked to promote research and education in hopes of improving the lives of fellow primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) patients.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carol and Kenneth Klein, her brother Eddie, and sister Catherine. She is survived by her husband, Marcus Erickson; daughters Kendell Erickson (Ryan McNair) and Monica (Stuart) Evans; as well as by her brothers, Dan and Phil (Cheryl) Klein and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held Saturday, August 1st at 11:00 am at St. Mary of the Valley parish in Monroe, WA.
