Joyce graduated from Monroe High School in 1949 where she lettered in baseball, basketball and tennis all four years.
She was married in 1950 to Ernest Henrickson and they had three children. Ernie (Randi) Allen (Margo) and Cheryl (Steve) Kirstein.
Joyce was a gramma to eight, a great gramma to 11 and had numerous nieces and nephews. She was lovingly referred to as GG later in life by her family, short for great grandma.
Joyce was hard-working and active, working various jobs her whole life. She loved music, and she loved the Lord. She belonged to Old Time and Country Music, and The Sisco Heights Community Club, and within these clubs she was a part of three music groups, Side-by-Side with Jesus, Monrovian’s, and The Ramblers. She loved singing and playing music.
Joyce was born and raised Catholic. She was a giver and lived a life of service. Her faith and belief was very strong and very important to her, she was a member of Our Lady of Hope Church in Everett for over 30 years.
Joyce had a love of angels that grew to be quite a collection over the years. To her family, she was our angel and she will be deeply missed. Joyce and her family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to hospice who helped care for her along with her daughter Cheryl and son in law Steve at the end of her life.
