

She attended school in Index and graduated as Valedictorian in 1941. She worked in Monroe at Hammers Department Store for nine years. She served as Postmaster in Index and retired in 1985 after serving 35 years as Postmaster. She was a member of National League of Postmaster retirees, life member of Index Sportsman’s Club, Index Historical Society, and St. Mary of the Valley Catholic Church in Monroe.
Mother Ellen Spada, father Bert Spada, brother Bert E. Spada and wife Martha L. Spada and two infant nieces, nephew Dayna Brown preceded her in death. She is survived by two nieces, Anita Randolph and husband Tom and Marti Erickson and husband John, two great-nieces, four great-nephews, cousin GiGi Spada, special friend for many years Dolly Hunnicutt, and several cousins in Italy. She enjoyed doing crafts and fancy work of all kinds, working in her yard, garden and flowers which she loved. She moved to her home in Monroe in 1994.
Services will be held at St. Mary of the Valley Catholic Church, Monroe on September 29th, at 11:00am, Reception will follow. Burial will be at G.A.R. Cemetery in Snohomish. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Mary of the Valley Catholic Church or Monroe Food Bank.
