

A funeral service for Diane will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Turner & Stevens Live Oak Mortuary, 200 E Duarte Road, Monrovia, CA 91016, followed by a graveside service from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

Diane Rose Matlock died peacefully at home on July 11, 2022 at the age of 90. She is survived by her children Sheryl (Bylle), Claremont; Philip, Glendora; daughter-in-law Keiko, Duarte; Susan (Tim) Malczynski, Temple City; Sally (George) Bullis, Glendora; Regina (Mike) Zambeck, Fort Worth; her grandchildren Daniel (Rachel) Matlock, Tim (Jaime) Malczynski, Matthew (Maureen) Malczynski, Jennifer (Josh) Orozco, Marshall Bullis, Kody Bullis, Quinn Zambeck, David Zambeck, and Ariel Zambeck; great-grandhildren Ila Rose, Jackson, Peter, and Maisie Malczynski; Amelia, Nora, and Miles Orozco; Bridgette, Walker, and Hudson Malczynski. She is preceded in death by husband Philip Matlock MD, brother Dana Deshler, and granddaughter Katherine Diane Matlock.
Diane was born on April 1, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to Dana and Ruth Deshler. She married Philip Matlock in 1948. The couple moved to Arcadia in 1960, and to Glendora in 2012. Diane was happiest spending time with her family and served as a Girl Scout Leader and Room Mother. She was a passionate fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes Football team, and her family room was decorated with Buckeye memorabilia. She was also an expert on Hallmark ornaments and movie stars. Diane loved to do needlework and embroidery. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to City of Hope.
