

Melanie Sue Champagne, a beacon of compassion and creativity, was born on July 8, 1982, in Harbor City, California. She passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the age of 42. Melanie’s life was a testament to her love for others and her unwavering dedication to her family and profession.
Growing up in the sunny landscapes of California, Melanie’s journey took a significant turn when her family relocated to Washington. It was here that Melanie’s passion for nursing blossomed. She chased that passion and moved back to California to earn her nursing degree in Pasadena, California. She dedicated over a decade to the nursing profession, embodying the compassion and skill that made her a cherished caregiver.
In 2021, Melanie and her family moved to Texas, where she embraced the role of a devoted mother and chose to stay at home to nurture her family. Her love for her children was evident in every aspect of her life. Melanie found joy in the simple pleasures of reading and restoring furniture, pursuits that allowed her creativity and meticulous attention to detail to shine brightly.
Recently, Melanie and her family returned to California, where she continued to infuse her life with love and creativity. Her presence, however, was tragically cut short, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Melanie is preceded in death by her parents Wesley Champagne and Elizabeth Hoehne her two beloved children Brydon and Alora, Step-Dad John Hoehne and Sister Amy Champagne & Brother Chris Hoehne & Sister Katie Hoehne and Nephew Roman Champagne, Sister Brittney & Brothers Matthew & Russell Champagne, as well as many other family members and friends. Her absence leaves a deep sorrow among family and friends who will forever remember her unwavering love and dedication.
A memorial service to honor Melanie’s life and legacy will be held on August 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Live Oak Memorial Chapel, 200 E Duarte Rd, Monrovia, CA 91016.
In this time of mourning, we remember Melanie for her enduring spirit, her boundless love for her family, and her remarkable dedication to caring for others. She will be deeply missed but her memory will remain a guiding light in the lives she touched.
