Richard Christopher Armas, age 37, of Monrovia, California passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at home peacefully surround by dad, sisters and stepmother. He was born March 29, 1986 in West Covina and filled our lives with love and laughter from the moment he came into the world. Known for his kind heart, quick wit and infectious smile, Richard was a beacon of light in the lives of those he touched. An avid sports fan Richard loved his Dodgers, Rams, Lakers, and Bruins.
Richard is survived and deeply missed by his parents Richard Armas and Marylou Martinez, his stepmother Hellen Rodriguez, sisters Shaneen Barazon and Alexandra Armas, stepsisters Alicia Martinez and Angel Martinez, and stepbrother Paul Morrissey. He also leaves behind his grandmother Velia Armas, and a close-knit family of aunts,uncles,cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather Robert Armas.
A viewing for Richard will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and a memorial service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. at Turner & Stevens Live Oak Mortuary, 200 E Duarte Road, Monrovia, CA 91016. A reception will be held at 1564 Rodeo Road Arcadia, CA 91006 following the Service.
