Thomas Joseph Hopkins, "TJ" was 89 years old when he passed away on June 7th of a brain aneurysm. He was born March 11, 1926 in Palo Alto California, the youngest of 6 siblings: Barney, Denny, Gene, George, and Mary. TJ is survived by his loving wife Virginia (Ginny) of 70 years, sons Thomas and Ronald Hopkins, 9 Grandchildren & 4 Great Grandchildren.
First and foremost, TJ was a devoted husband, son in law, father, grandfather and friend.
He proudly served in U.S. Air Corps from 1944 to 1946. After “winning world war 2" (he jokingly took credit for it), TJ partnered on a car repair business but quickly discovered his passion for having his own business selling waterless cookware and its amazing health benefits. TJ enjoyed over 45 successful years in the business. He had a remarkable gift to teach, motivate, encourage, and prosper all those around him which grew his business to the largest distributorship in the 11 western states. TJ is still known and respected as the PANMAN to this day.
TJ was also an accomplished tennis player, water skier, motorcycle rider, and loved racing his 1960 Biesemeyer Caribbean boat appropriately named "Huster2" that is still being enjoyed by his 3rd generation of family boaters.
We will miss his love, energy, positive attitude, great stories and zest for life.
Services being held Saturday June 20th at 9:30 a.m. at Turner & Stevens Live Oak Memorial Park & Mortuary. 200 E. Duarte Road, Monrovia, CA 91016
