Sally Montano Martinez

Sally Montaño Martinez, born October 24, 1925 in Arizona, and later resided in Montebello, CA with her husband Frank Martinez. The home they shared was built by the hands of Frank and cared for by Sally, and together they created a long fulfilling life. Along, came their 3 beautiful children, the eldest Richard Martinez, the middle child Kathy Martinez, and the youngest child Frances Martinez. It was in her nature to provide the love and care that her family needed. She was nurturing and kind hearted, she ensured her children were cared for and was a provider for her family. She worked as a Seamstress for a company called, Catalina Swimwear in Montebello, CA for many years until she retired with her husband in Apple Valley, CA. She was blessed as her family grew larger with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her life was abundantly filled with the joys of family that loved her company and she loved spending every moment of her time with them. Sally loved to laugh and one of her favorite things to do, was to just sit and talk over a cup of coffee. She loved her coffee very sweet-just like her! She was a people pleaser and took the time to experience life with them, by trying new things such as: dirt bike riding, hiking, dancing, and traveling. Her happiest moments was when she was out with family or friends at a gathering and especially watching all of her grandchildren growing up. She enjoyed taking pictures of everyone and everything and capturing those special moments. Her fortune was her family. She always shared many memories of her past and present with anyone she came in contact with. She was a good listener and shared her smile with everyone. Sally was a firm believer of living to your fullest and not allowing misery to control your sense of happiness. She just wanted to share her love with everyone. It is now with deep sorrow and misfortune that she is no longer here with us on this earth, and passed on July 29, 2016. Her life will live on in our hearts and with her a smile that will always shine on us from above as she watches us all from heaven and hugs us with her love.
